Technology and product leader with over 15 years of experience building software products and teams in China and Singapore, focusing on applied AI. Currently Director of Information Systems at Students Network Services in Singapore.

About Me

I started as a competitive programmer, reaching the ACM-ICPC World Finals in 2009, and have built software products ever since: from in-car navigation and some of China’s first AR apps to a live online English platform for children.

Today I lead information systems and AI products at Students Network Services. Outside working hours, I build AI agent systems, LLM-based research pipelines and real-time data systems.

Where I’ve Worked

Director of Information Systems @ Students Network Services

2022 – Present, Singapore

  • Lead information systems and AI products for student recruitment services: the CMS, search and generative engine optimisation (SEO and GEO) systems, and an AI customer service system.
  • Set up the AI team in Shenzhen in 2023–2024, which built a generative AI content system used by consumer brands.
  • In 2025 the team became an official partner of Coze, the AI agent platform of ByteDance.

CTO @ 31abc / Starbo English

2015 – 2021, Shanghai and Hong Kong

  • Built the platform for live online small-group English classes for K-12 children; over 10,000 students took classes on it.
  • Led a team of about 200, including 80 in technology, as the business grew from 2 people to over 300.
  • Among the first to launch a suite of English-learning WeChat Mini Programs.

Head of Product @ Ripple Interactive

2013 – 2015, Shanghai

  • Led a 30-person team that was among the first in mainland China to build 3D showcase apps and digital showrooms with Unity.
  • Delivered apps, websites, motion-sensing games and showrooms for brands in real estate, automotive and healthcare.

Research and Development Director @ Liangfengtai

2011 – 2013, Shanghai

  • Led the development of some of the first augmented reality (AR) mobile apps in China, for clients including CSDN and fashion magazines.

Software Engineer @ Pioneer

2010 – 2011, Shanghai

  • Developed in-car navigation software for Windows CE devices.
